Ingredients

  • Green Tahini
  • 1/2 cup tahini + oil from the jar

  • 1 Tbsp Greek yogurt

  • 3 Thai green chili

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • 1 cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • Salt per taste

  • 1/2 cup Water

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • Red Garlic Sauce for Falafel
  • 12 oz roasted red pepper jar (drained)

  • 12 dry red chilies – (soak in 1/2 cup hot water for 30 minutes – 1 hour)

  • 1 tsp coriander seeds

  • 1 tsp cumin (jeera) seeds

  • 5-6 garlic cloves

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • Salt per taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Make Green Tahini
  • Frist blend yogurt, jalapeno, garlic, cilantro, cumin powder and salt until smooth. Add tahini and lemon juice and blend again for 30 seconds (mixture will be thick)
  • Add additional water if necessary, to thin out the sauce. Season with more salt if needed. .
  • Make Red Garlic Sauce
  • Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Add little water from soaked chilies if necessary. .
