
Green Tahini & Red Garlic Sauce

- Green Tahini
1/2 cup tahini + oil from the jar
1 Tbsp Greek yogurt
3 Thai green chili
2 garlic cloves
1 cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro
1 teaspoon ground cumin
Salt per taste
1/2 cup Water
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- Red Garlic Sauce for Falafel
12 oz roasted red pepper jar (drained)
12 dry red chilies – (soak in 1/2 cup hot water for 30 minutes – 1 hour)
1 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin (jeera) seeds
5-6 garlic cloves
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt per taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- Make Green Tahini
- Frist blend yogurt, jalapeno, garlic, cilantro, cumin powder and salt until smooth. Add tahini and lemon juice and blend again for 30 seconds (mixture will be thick)
- Add additional water if necessary, to thin out the sauce. Season with more salt if needed. .
- Make Red Garlic Sauce
- Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Add little water from soaked chilies if necessary. .
