Guava Jalapeno Margarita

  • 3 tablespoons guava juice

  • ½ cup plus 2 tablespoons tequila

  • ½ cup fresh lime juice

  • ¼ cup Cointreau or Grand Marnier

  • 3 jalapeños

  • margarita salt or cores salt

  • ½ tsp chilly powder


  • Slice 1 jalapeño into slice and add it in the 2 tablespoon tequila in a small bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside for minimum 2 hours. .
  • Pour the tequila with jalapeño and 1/2 cup of tequila into a pitcher and add the lime juice, Cointreau or Grand Marnier and the guava juice. Stir to combine and chill in your refrigerator..
  • Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass. Mix salt and chilly powder on a flat plate turn glass upside down on then twist the glass in the salt and chilly powder to coat the rim…
  • Thinly slice the remaining jalapeño. Remove the seeds if you prefer not spicy. Serve the margarita with some ice and jalapenos floating in the glass.
